More Halloween Cuties!

Remember the Little Halloween Cuties I made a couple a weeks ago?  Well they sold so quickly that I decided to make another batch.  So here our my Little Halloween Cuties 2.0!

I think I this one the best.  I used a PWP stamp for the heart on her forehead and everything else was freehand.

This one is pretty cool too, it's all freehand.

I think this one is sad because the spiders are trying to take over :D  I used a combination of PWP and Inkadinkado stamps along with some freehand work.  The sentiment "artsy to the bone" is by PWP, it's in the Muertos stamp set.  I really like that saying.......hmmmm.......I think I might just adopt it as my motto ;D

This one is all Inkadinkado stamps.

Here they are all together, sorry for the glare my bright lights were reflecting off of the metallic white paint I used.  These little paper mache treat boxes are so much fun to work on.  I've got a couple more paper mache projects to get done by the craft show next weekend.  As soon as I'm done, I'll get them posted.  Well, I think I'm gonna take a break and go spend a little quality time with hubbz.  So I'll see ya later alligator!!

WELCOME ELSA!!! Thanks for following along and THANKS to all of you for your sweet comments on my little pumpkin patch!!!!!

Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch!

I finished my paper mache pumpkins!!  Well, I think.....I don't know, maybe I'll dress them up just a bit:

These are little paper mache treat boxes from Micheals.  They kinda look like the need a little twine....hmmmm......I think I'm gonna have to add some.  What do you think?

This little guy ended up glittery because I drew swirls with gold 3-D Enamels but then I didn't like the way it looked so I sprinkled glitter all over.   Yes.....much better :D

Aren't those leaves beautiful!  They're from one of the new stamp sets that Paper Wings Productions is going to be releasing VERY soon.

I think this guy might be my favorite, he looks like he's ready to trick-or-treat.

Witch Boo Sign

Hi There!!  My posting schedule is a bit off right now but I hope to be back on track soon.  Today I have another BOO sign to share with you, hope you're not getting tired of them yet ;D  They have been a hot item over at Homestead Handcrafts so I'm trying to keep up with them.

This one is pretty simple because I wanted to keep the background black since she's flying in front of the moon.  I used a glue pad and flourish stamp for the beautiful glittery orange swirls.  Can you believe this is the first time I've ever used glitter with a stamp.  I've had the glue stamp pad in my stash for years and it still had the wrapper on it.  I love they way it turned out so I see A LOT more glitter in my future, lol.  On the right, I used a black glittery floral stem then just wrote in BOO.  The BOO poem is on the back of this one.

I'm working on some little paper mache pumpkin treat boxes that I picked up at Michaels but I'm still trying to figure out what I'm gonna do with them.  Hopefully I'll have those done soon so I can share them with you.  Well friends, I'm gonna get back to crafting now :D  Thanks for stopping by for a little visit and WELCOME MARIA MATTER!!!!!

Have a Beautiful & Creative Day, Adios!!!

Okay, now for my project :D

I've been on a Halloween kick lately so I made a BOO Sign:

I've been making a ton of these because I just love leaving them for my friends and family. This one measures 12 1/2" x 5 3/4". I used Crescent board for my base and covered it with Basic Grey's Eerie Haunted Forest.

I painted the backside with black acrylic paint for a nice finished look. Then added the BOO poem with some brads.

I made the large OWL with my Animal Kingdom Cricut Cartridge. I cut him at 6" out of Basic Grey's Eerie Evil Eye patterned paper. Next I punched the circles for his eyes from some vintage sheet music (you know I gotta work it in somewhere, lol) and added some gems. I inked all of the edges with Tim Holtz's Black Soot Distress Ink.

This cute little guy is by K&Company, Brenda Walton Stitched Adornments. He's just super cute, isn't he!
Since this is meant to be hung on a door, I added beautiful ribbons with cute bows in black & purple.

I used large white glittered chipboard letters and inked them with Tim Holtz's Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I also used a K&Company glittered frame backed with more vintage sheet music and some embellishments from my stash. To finish things off I trimmed the edges with a cream colored zipper, black sequenced trim and a polka dot scalloped border. Here is the poem I like to use in case you'd like to make your own BOO signs:

The air is cool, the season fall,
Soon Halloween will come to all.
With ghosts and goblins, spooks galore,
Trick-or-Treaters at the door.

The spooks are after things to do.
In fact, a spook brought this to you.
The treats that come with this short note
Are yours to keep. Enjoy them both!

Excitement grows when friends like you
Will copy it and make it two.
Neighbors will have smiling faces;
None can guess who BOO-ed which places.

A day or two to work your spell,
But keep it secret!  Hide it well!
Join in the fun; the seasons here.
So spread these BOOs and share the cheer!

I hope I've inspired you to join in on the fun :D
Now I have some treats for you, to help you cast your very own spells!

Boo Signs

Happy Thursday!!  Things are really hopping around here and I'm scrambling to keep up :D  How bout you, how are you doing this week?  I hope you're having a great one.  I'm working on some Halloween projects to take down to Homestead Handcrafts and for the craft show I'm doing on October 6th.  Last night I completed some Boo signs and I really like the way they turned out.

Aren't they cute?!  I love making these and leaving them for friends and family.  My DH, son and I all go out at night and try to be real sneaky about leaving them with treat bags filled with all kinds of Halloween goodies on their doors.  It's become one our Halloween traditions.

This cute little guy is by K&Company and my papers are My Minds Eye.

I think this one is my favorite.  It reminds me of my oldest.  He dressed up as Dracula our first year together and I got to put on all his makeup.  It was also the very thing I ever scrapbooked.  I'll share that layout with you as we get a little closer to Halloween ;D

Hey, remember my Halloween Cuties?!  Well I'm happy to report that they all found loving homes over the weekend.  If you happen to be one of the people who went by Homestead over the weekend and adopted one of those cuties, Thank You very much!  I hope you enjoy them :D

Have a Beautiful & Creative Day!!

Agrabah

Hey friends, I've got a really quick post for you today.  I finished a new project last night but you're gonna have to wait til the hop on Saturday to see it ;D
I dug into my vacation scrapbook for this one:

I think the patterned paper is by BoBunny but don't quote me on that.  I used the Disney Dreams Come True cartridge for this one.  I just love the bright bold colors and bohemian patterns of this layout.  Well I better get busy, my DH took the day off and we're gonna get some chores done then work on my display set up for the craft show I'm doing in two weeks.  So have a wonderful day & a warm WELCOME to Nadia!

Nadia, Thank you so much for following along :D

Candle Scents - Mixed Media Canvas

Hey there, did you have a smooth Monday?!  I did and I'm so happy because I had the time to finish up a custom order for the lovely Michaela of Candle Scents.  She wanted a canvas with her business name that she could use at trade and craft shows.  So this is what I came up with for her:

This is a 12x16 canvas and I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  I hope Michaela loves it too.

I started out with layers of soft body acrylics and gesso.

To build up some texture, I transferred vintage sheet music and then randomly stamped a PWP script background stamp to the entire canvas.

I really liked the way the vintage sheet music rolled up after I transferred it to the canvas so I decided to use it to create a frame.  I also tucked in a strip of burlap and added lots of flourishes with 3-D Enamels.  Since there was adhesive on the canvas, I sprinkled some fairy dust all over for a little shimmer.
While my flourishes dried, I turned my attention to the focal image.  Since Michaela specializes in mason jar candles, I thought it would be nice to include one in the composition.  I found a mason jar on the Doodlecharms cartridge and cut two.  One in white cardstock and another one in chipboard.  I used watercolors and gouache to paint the mason jar.  For the lid, I used metallic pewter embossing powder by Zing.  To give it the look of glass, I covered the entire jar with Glossy Accents.

I cut "Candle Scents" with the Stone Script cartridge.  I cut three sets in white cardstock then layered them together for strength.  Next I used Dylusions and ART-C mists to color the letters.  Once everything was dry, I started playing with placement until I was happy with my design.

I inked all of the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Walnut Stain.

I used a Spellbinders Rose and a rose that I hand cut for the vintage sheet music.  I also used some flowers from my stash.

These flowers are a mixture of K&Company, Colorbok, my stash and some buttons.

I added a heart charm to the jar to mimic Michaela's logo and I thought the sentiment "shine so brilliant" went nice with candle.  I think this is gonna look beautiful in a nice frame sitting on an easel at her craft shows.

Michaela, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to make this canvas for you!

Well, now it's time to turn my attention to the upcoming Have An Owlsome Fall Y'All Blog Hop this weekend.  I also have a Craft Show that I need to get ready for.  It'll be my very first one so wish me luck.  It's on Oct. 6th so it's creeping up really fast.   I'm participating in Jenn's Blogaversary that weekend too so I probably won't be doing to much blog reading over the next couple of weeks while I get ready for everything.  I'll get back to reading all of your blogs as soon as I can.  Thank you all so much for taking the time to visit me and leaving me such kind comments.  I really appreciate all of you!!

Have a Beautiful and Creative Day!!!

Sexy Little Witch Hat

Hey Bloggie Friends, did you have a good weekend?  Ours was good but it rained the whole time.  I finished up a very cute witch's hat but I didn't get very good pics of it:

I covered it with stamped book text then painted it purple.  Next I added 3-D Enamel swirls.

I added beautiful glittered florals to the brim along with lace and some bats.  It turned out really great and I was anxious to get it down to Homestead Handcrafts because they were having a big event on Saturday.  So I rushed through the photos and didn't realize they came out so bad.  Maybe I'll go to Homestead this week and try to get some better pics to share.

I'd also like to send a shout out to Nikki & Nina!  Thanks so much for joining us!!!
Have a Wonderful Day :D

PWP Guest Post

Happy Friday, we made it to the weekend and Fall definitely seems to have arrived.  Well in the early mornings and in the evenings anyway.   This is Texas after all, so our mid-days are still in the upper 90s.  Hey, remember that project I said was my farewell to summer, the one that I did for PWP?!  Well it's up today over at The Aviary and I'd love for you to go over and check it out.  Here is a little peek but you have to visit their blog to see the whole thing ;D

Give them a visit and let us know what you think :D  Have a Wonderful Weekend!!!

Halloween Friends

Hey bloggie friends!  Remember my little Halloween cutie from yesterday?!  Well it's time to meet her little friends ;D

I decided to make the rest of them into ornaments.  They were all painted with gesso then with some Liquitex soft body acrylic in Metallic/Iridescent White.

Here is a close up of our little star.

This is her buddy but she's not as happy....maybe she want's to be the star of the show, lol.

I covered this one with book text that I stamped with various Halloween stamps.

This one went to LSU, lol!

Here they are just hanging out!  I think they need names don't you.  Maybe you can help me name them, so leave me some suggestions!!

The girls and I wish you a beautiful and creative day!!

ADIOS!!
